Performs data entry of criminal reports and warrants. Writes reports from phone in and walk-in customers. Provides administrative support for sworn officers.
This position will be expected to work a schedule necessary to accomplish City and departmental goals, a normal work schedule will be 12 hour shift work; shifts may be 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.; including nights, weekends and/or holidays as required.

Answers telephone and responds to emails; transfers callers to the appropriate department or answers questions as needed; greets and assists guests and customers.
Maintains and orders office materials and supplies.
Completes reports for managers; performs data entry; prepares letters, memorandums and other correspondence; maintains office filing system; transcribes information; collects and distributes mail; completes background checks.
High School Diploma or GED preferred; prior experience with Microsoft Word and Excel desired.
Must obtain within one (1) years of hire date and maintain from the West Virginia State Police Academy a WEAPON / NCIC Certification.
