The Burlington Public Library is accepting applications for a part-time Library Assistant focused on events and services for adults. Tasks would include planning and conducting library programs and events, staffing the library service desk, doing library outreach in the community, and providing general assistance throughout the library. Position also serves on library system committees as assigned.
Burlington Public Library is located in southeastern Wisconsin, with a municipal population of 10,980 and a service population of 19,500. We are a member of the SHARE Library Consortium, serving Racine, Walworth, Kenosha, and Rock Counties.
Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required; computer and electronic resource experience required; customer service experience preferred; experience in libraries desired; Bachelor's degree or substantial college coursework desired.
Compensation: Starting wage is $17.02 per hour.
Hours: This position is typically 15-20 hours per week, including regular evening and weekend hours with some flexibility.
