The Global Payroll Services Transformation Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. This role is recognized as a technical authority for an area within the business and requires basic commercial awareness. Multiple individuals within the business may provide the same level of subject matter expertise.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in developing and implementing digital transformation or strategic solutions.
Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, eventually affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Manages multiple payroll teams or a functional area (depending on the size of the business). Manages teams' performance and problem resolution. Advises senior management regarding the performance of assigned payroll area(s). Strategizes with outside departments and customers to establish projects and priorities. Interacts with all customers, developing key relationships and strategies for support. Strategizes with businesses on issues and required business specifications. Manages department budget and cost activities. Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, hiring, terminations, and other personnel actions. Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards. Accountable for end results. Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by: Driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Adhering to Policy. Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices. Escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Experience: 7-10 years of experience in a related role with commensurate experience in people management. Education: Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred. Specialized Knowledge: Good knowledge of North America payroll and Tax regulations and practices. Good knowledge and experience working with AI tools and understanding of AI concepts. Familiarity with technology and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience with Workday is preferred.
