The Citi Services business supports clients in 94 markets globally, for their Payments, Liquidity, Trade and Securities Services needs.
The Global Solution Salesperson (GSS) role within the Citi Services business is a senior sales position focused on originating new business, winning new mandates and managing existing large complex relationships. A GSS within the Industrials sector understands not only the specifics of their portfolio clients, but the industry as a whole. This knowledge allows them to position Citi solutions within the broader context of the client objectives and industry direction. Key areas of knowledge include Payments, Liquidity Solutions, and Trade Finance.
The GSS on the NAM Industrials team is responsible for supporting the global needs of a portfolio of North America headquartered names. A GSS is accountable for significant direct business results and provides authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. The role focuses on sales origination, cross-selling Services products and solutions to deepen wallet penetration, revenue realization and expansion, while driving customer satisfaction through quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute portfolio sales strategy in conjunction with global, regional and country partners
- Develop deep relationships with key global and regional clients
- Retain existing business and grow volumes, revenue and returns
- Identify cross sell opportunities with clients
- Be an ambassador and evangelist for Citi with clients, partners, and industry forums to continue to drive Citi's recognition as best in class
- Maintain leading edge expertise of the industry and regional competitive environment
- Lead complex cash management deals end-to-end including RFP responses and client presentations/pitches, recommending innovative cash management solutions
- Develop a focused strategy for all key clients and sub sector targets
- Meet all sales management goals tied to origination, wins and pipeline management (CRM)
- Work with Onboarding/Client Executives to ensure deals closed are implemented effectively and efficiently to ensure revenue realization and ramp-up
- Actively share new developments, market updates and client needs with Product Management team to influence future Product Development
- Put the customer at the center of any activities and be able to operate at all levels within the client's organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/University Degree, masters preferred
- 10+ years of relevant experience in financial sales, payment partnerships, or corporate treasury
- In-depth knowledge of Payments, Liquidity and/or Trade Finance
- A highly motivated and experienced senior Salesperson with a track record of prospecting new clients and driving new revenues within a portfolio of multi-national corporations
- Knowledge of the Industrials ecosystems and sub-sectors
- Detailed understanding of balance sheet and income statement concepts
- Creative, innovative, high energy with strong initiative
- Strong execution skills: thorough follow-through & attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills; excellent interpersonal skills
