Markets Operations Belfast Overview: Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview: The Operations Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

What you will do:

• Check and verify information to ensure accuracy of booking requests
• Generate and match transactions under general supervision
• Direct transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on solutions
• Support the preparation and submission of internal and external regulatory reports
• Perform multiple transactions of moderate complexity
• Interpret data and apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis
• Identify policy gaps and makes suggestions to support the streamlining of related work processes
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, with whom you may exchange potentially complex/sensitive information to progress work and resolve issues

What we will need from you:

• Evidence of ability to manage multiple tasks and working towards deadlines
• Ability to perform a range of tasks/projects
• Comfortable with working in a team environment and being initiative-taking in recommending improvements to existing processes
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
• Self-reliant, good problem solver, and results oriented
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to partner with other teams to provide innovative solutions
• Ability to effectively prioritize
