Job Overview
The Apps Support Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Responsibilities:
- Provides End-to-End Application Support: Offers technical and business support for Citi applications, managing user issues from initial query through to long-term remediation with technology partners.
- Acts as a Central Liaison: Serves as a critical communication bridge between business users (including traders), internal technology groups, and external vendors to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
- Manages Application Release Cycle: Actively participates in the full application release lifecycle, including testing, production deployment, and post-release validation to ensure seamless transitions.
- Drives Proactive System Improvements: Analyzes applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues, and collaborates with development teams to prioritize bug fixes and enhance stability.
- Owns Strategic Support Projects: Takes ownership of key support-driven projects focused on improving application stability, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
- Upholds Risk Management and Compliance: Assesses risk in all business decisions, ensuring strict compliance with laws, regulations, and company policy to safeguard the firm, its clients, and its assets.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME): Acts as a go-to expert on the applications for senior stakeholders and other team members, providing guidance and sharing in-depth knowledge.
- Ensures Operational Resilience: Contributes to business continuity by participating in disaster recovery tests and developing and maintaining comprehensive technical support documentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Technical Foundation: Basic knowledge of application support procedures, concepts, and experience with problem/issue tracking tools.
- Financial Acumen: A basic understanding of financial markets, products, and the business's technology strategy.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication, customer service, and diplomacy skills to effectively persuade, influence, and exchange information with stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to evaluate complex situations using multiple sources of information to make judgments and solve problems.
- Process Improvement Interest: Experience or a demonstrated interest in participating in process improvements and the standardization of procedures.
- Teamwork and Organization: A good team player with the ability to plan and organize their workload and effectively share information with others.
- Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
