Job Overview
This is a fixed term contract (parental leave cover), which would be suited to someone looking to start a career in Banking and Client Services. The Client Tax Service Officer is a developing professional role in the Client Tax Services (CTS) team.
The CTS team takes ownership of updating client tax documentation (W-Series Forms and CRS Forms) and managing day-to-day tax related queries, as well as managing and supporting several client tax related projects.
CTS is a client facing team within Citi Private Bank, working directly with Private Banking Teams and clients, along with partner organizations including Front Office (Bankers), Tax Operations, Business Execution, Client Onboarding, Product and Corporate Tax.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day administrative and project management support to the CTS team
- Taking end to end ownership for client requests and queries, supporting the CTS team with managing its workflows
- Developing new systems and processes to create efficiencies and improve Client Experience
- Working with Private Banking Teams to ensure client tax forms are valid and up to date
- Preparation of materials and presentations for the CTS team for internal and external meetings
- Drafting and issuing internal and external communication (e.g., client responses and tax updates)
- Management of incoming tax related queries from Banking Teams and clients
- Improve client communication process to increase response rate and reduce number of rejected forms
- Identify any function gaps, highlight associated risks and implement solutions
- Produce MI to track service levels, client requests and team productivity metrics
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent use of the suite of Microsoft products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Visio). Specifically, advanced Excel abilities
- Foundational knowledge of investments, banking, and credit products
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working in a servicing role within the Financial Services sector (Private Banking/Wealth management experience preferred) is of benefit
- Relevant experience in providing administrative support in a front/middle office environment
- Prior experience working in any Client Services role is of benefit
