As a Salesforce Sales Engineer, you are the technical bridge between our sales team and our clients. You aren't just selling software; you are architecting business transformations. You will be responsible for leading the "Discovery" phase, building custom Proof of Concept (PoC) environments, and delivering high-stakes technical demonstrations that prove the value of the Salesforce platform.
Technical Discovery: Conduct deep-dive sessions with stakeholders to map business pain points to specific Salesforce Cloud solutions (Sales, Service, Marketing, Health, etc.). Environment Orchestration: Configure and manage complex Salesforce Demo Orgs, ensuring they are populated with relevant data and integrated with necessary third-party tools. The "Pitch" & PoC: Design and present customized, live software demonstrations that highlight the power of Flow Builder, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Apex to solve specific client challenges. Architecture & Integration: Advise clients on integration strategies (REST/SOAP API, MuleSoft) to ensure Salesforce sits harmoniously within their existing tech stack. RFP & Security: Lead the technical response for RFPs, security questionnaires, and data privacy assessments (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
1. Core Platform Mastery Declarative vs. Programmatic: Expert knowledge of when to use "Clicks not Code" (Flow, Validation Rules, Dynamic Forms) versus when to leverage custom development (Apex, LWC). Data Modeling: Ability to design scalable Object Models, including custom objects, Junction objects, and external objects via Salesforce Connect. Security & Sharing: Deep understanding of the Salesforce Security Model (OWD, Role Hierarchy, Permission Sets, and Sharing Rules). 2. Multi-Cloud Fluency Experience positioning and configuring at least two of the following: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud (including Omni-Channel and Field Service), Experience Cloud, or Industry Clouds (Financial Services, Health Cloud). Understanding of the Salesforce Einstein AI suite and how to apply Predictive and Generative AI to business workflows. 3. Integration & Analytics Familiarity with integration patterns and middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, or Zapier). Ability to build advanced analytics dashboards using CRM Analytics or standard Reports & Dashboards.
Experience: 3+ years in a Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Senior Salesforce Consultant role. Communication: Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical C-suite executives. Certifications (Highly Preferred): Salesforce Certified Administrator Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Consultant
