Food Service Senior Category Manager

In this role, you'll lead food service strategy and execution, partner closely with Operations and Merchandising, and ensure our Fresh Food Fast programs deliver strong sales, margin, quality, and customer experience.

Your key responsibilities:
- Innovate and evolve the Circle K food service brand through strategic problem-solving and Fresh Food Fast initiatives.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend promotions and category changes to meet or exceed sales, margin, and quality goals in alignment with National strategies.
- Monitor competitive activity within each market and provide data-driven recommendations aligned with National direction.
- Evaluate products, services, and policies and communicate recommendations to the Merchandise Director and Vice President.
- Achieve financial objectives by developing and managing annual budgets, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions, and allocating program costs through operational and risk reporting.
- Deliver results aligned with Company Plan financial targets and key result areas.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, BU leadership, store leadership, and Global Foodservice subject matter experts to ensure training materials are current, effective, and aligned with company standards.
- Provide clear and effective communication to Operations and cross-functional partners supporting Fresh Food Fast programs and projects.
- Ensure successful execution of marketing and merchandising initiatives through partnership with Regional Operations Directors and District Managers.
- Lead all Fresh Food initiatives and develop the Food Service Category team to drive alignment, execution, and sustainable growth.
- Identify and maximize merchandising and profitability opportunities by visiting local markets, implementing best practices across the business unit, and sharing insights company-wide in alignment with National direction.
- Recruit, select, onboard, coach, and develop team members through effective performance management and ongoing feedback.
- Maintain professional and technical expertise through continued education, industry engagement, and professional networks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Ten or more years of relevant experience
- At least seven years of people management experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 and related business productivity tools, with advanced Excel and presentation skills
- Experience working with multi-unit or field-based operations
- Ability to travel up to 35 percent
- Valid driver's license
Physical requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Regular use of a keyboard, mouse, and monitor
- Ability to hear and speak clearly via telephone
- Ability to reach forward and overhead
- Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Work environment:
- Office-based role with regular collaboration across teams

- Combination of natural and fluorescent lighting
- Ability to work independently with periodic supervision
