CIC is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to help create a welcoming and well-run workspace for our clients. As a part-time Operations Team Member you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining the day-to-day operations of our Providence office space.

CIC Providence first opened its doors in the fall of 2019. Located in a brand new building in the historic Jewelry District, now Providence's Innovation and Design District, the 191k square foot space is anchored by CIC and shared by Brown's School of Professional Studies and the city's first civic gathering space, known as District Hall Providence. Together, these organizations foster innovation that will act as a catalyst for research and development for exceptional entrepreneurs across the greater Providence area.
Your Day-To-Day Work
You will join our community team, which is composed of several full-time and part-time employees. The team works together to satisfy the day-to-day needs of our clients and ensure that the physical space is functional and organized. Some work will be independent while at other times it will require collaboration with other members of the CIC staff. We are a team-based company, and you will be evaluated on your performance by other team members. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate these traits and/or possess these skills:
You Have
• The ability to move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds (18kg), positioning them on wheeled carts and transporting them around our space, including on and off elevators and through doorways. This requires being mobile for most of the day, with approximately 75% of your time spent standing or walking.
• The ability to position yourself to maintain tidy shared/office space, including under assembled tables/desks in conference/office spaces.
• The ability to work every weekday, starting at either 7:30 AM (morning shift) or 11:00 AM (afternoon shift), depending on the assigned schedule.
• The capacity to learn and provide basic tech support (e.g. setting up printer drivers, VoIP phones, troubleshooting things like conference room projectors).
• Comfort with basic power tools (e.g. using a drill).
