We are looking for a Quality Engineer / Sr. Quality Engineer with expertise in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain to drive functional testing with a test automation mindset. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge, testing expertise, and experience in agile QA practices.

Mandatory Skills

Primary Skill Set:

Domain Expertise: Duck Creek Policy Admin System (Property & Casualty / Commercial / Insurance)

Testing Expertise: Manual & Functional Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing, Smoke Testing, Exploratory Testing, End-to-End (E2E) Testing

Test Automation & Agile Practices:

Strong understanding of agile methodologies and shift-left testing

Experience with Jira workflows and test management plugins

Proficiency in defect tracking, resolution, and verification before UAT/production

Secondary Skill Set:

Automation Expertise: Playwright & Selenium-based test automation, API test automation

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Testing & Quality Engineering:

Analyze business requirements and use cases to define test strategies and execution plans

Validate system configurations and ensure alignment with product requirements

Identify and focus testing efforts on high-risk areas to prevent defect leakage

Ensure early defect detection and shift-left testing implementation

Test Automation & CI/CD Integration:

Develop, maintain, and execute Playwright & Selenium with Java automation scripts

Automate high-risk and frequently executed test cases (e.g., regression tests)

Integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation

Agile Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Agile Teams to embed QA practices

Provide test execution reports, quality metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders

Drive continuous improvements in testing processes during digital transformation initiatives

Best Practices:

Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures

Conduct root cause analysis, triage issues, and validate fixes

Promote best practices in test automation, BDD, and agile QA processes
