Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme ("MRC") for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions ("AIs") to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual's previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

For information related to MRC Scheme, "Frequently Asked Questions for In Scope Individuals" is published by HKAB/Industry Guidelines or further information will be available upon request, if it is applicable to the position(s) applied.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Checker role for Mortgage business, including documentation preparation & vetting, loan operation, title deeds and documents checking and mortgage discharge.
• Ensure all services to be delivered within the agreed service pledge
• Ensure adherence to departmental guidelines and compliance of the Bank's policy
• Report all process deviations to Supervisor with recommendations
• Identify the improvement opportunities / operation risk of existing workflow
• Participate in projects on development of new products, automation / enhancement of related systems and enhance customer experience
• Provide coaching and training to junior staff
• Handle ad-hoc matters and tasks assigned by Supervisor from time to time

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business Administration or related disciplines is preferred
• Minimum 5 years' experience in loan documentation and operations is preferred
• Good knowledge on legal requirements for mortgage business
• Good knowledge in mortgage business and relevant daily operations
• Good knowledge in accounting principles
• Proficient in MS Office
• Prudent and attentive to details
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
