About the Position
The Fixed Equipment Engineering Lead is part of the Reliability and Integrity organization within the Chevron ENGINE Center supporting Shale and Tight (S&T) Assets. This role leads a team of Asset Integrity Coordinators and Fixed Equipment Integrity Engineers, ensuring that all fixed equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance. This role will be critical in developing and implementing asset-integrity management strategies that minimize risk and optimize the lifecycle of our fixed equipment assets.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Asset Integrity Coordinators and Fixed Equipment Integrity Engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive asset integrity management plans for fixed equipment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, operations, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), to ensure the integration of asset integrity initiatives with overall operational goals.
- Oversee inspections, assessments, and maintenance activities for fixed equipment, utilizing advanced techniques and technologies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Analyze inspection data and asset performance metrics to identify trends, assess risks, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies, with a focus on safety, environmental protection, and operational excellence.
- Utilize asset management software and tools to enhance the efficiency of integrity management processes and documentation.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices within the asset integrity team.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on asset integrity status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in hiring and organizational design as required.
- Support succession planning discussions with leadership teams for the ENGINE maintenance and turnaround organization.

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
- Degree in relevant Engineering or Maintenance Discipline with 10-15 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven experience in asset integrity management or fixed equipment engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on Shale and Tight assets.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing technical teams.
- In-depth knowledge of fixed equipment design, maintenance, and inspection techniques, as well as industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Qualifications
- Design & Analysis: Skilled in the design and assessment of fixed equipment like pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and pipelines.
- Inspection Techniques: Proficient in NDT methods such as UT, RT, MT, and PT.
- Corrosion Management: Knowledgeable in corrosion prevention and mitigation strategies.
- Failure Analysis: Experienced in root cause failure analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with industry standards and regulations (API, ASME, NACE, OSHA) related to asset integrity and safety.
Software Skills
Engineering Tools: Proficient in AutoCAD, CAESAR II, or similar design software. Asset Management: Advanced skills in SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent platforms. Data Analysis: Competent in tools like Excel and Power BI for data analysis.
