The Marketing assistant will have the opportunity work across social media, events, design management and merchandise. We are looking for a candidate with a high-level understanding of effective social media marketing. This role will also work across events, design and brand creation and email marketing. They will also be very organised and have a thorough approach to planning and managing tasks.

Work closely with the Marketing Manager to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, print, and social media.
Manage business requests including merchandise ordering and design requests
Use excellent attention to detail to manage all invoicing and payments for the marketing team.
Support the creation and scheduling of engaging content for the Chaucer website, newsletters, and social media platforms.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities.
Help organise marketing events, promotional activities, and exhibitions as required.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using analytics tools.
Maintain and update databases and the company's CRM system.
Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure brand consistency.
Assist with the production of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
Handle general administrative tasks to support the marketing team.
Previous experience in a marketing or administrative role is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Some flexibility to support events or campaigns outside normal working hours may be required.
A degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is desirable.
