Program Coordinator I

Under direct supervision of the Program Director of the Family Nurse Practitioner program, the Program Coordinator I provides support services such as typing, distribution, and report preparation for special projects generated by the program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare regularly scheduled or special reports.
  • Maintains program files and records.
  • Maintains office equipment and supplies.
  • Writes clearly and accurately in a variety of contexts and formats.
  • Communicates issues in a timely manner.
  • Schedules and manages appointments, meetings, and events for supervisor. Anticipates and prepares supervisor in advance.
  • Prepares agendas, records, and maintains meeting minutes.
  • Makes conference, travel, and lodging arrangements.
  • Some driving may be required.
  • Coordinates student activities including orientation to the program, scheduling classes, managing course evaluations, managing student files, etc.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution or a combination of education and experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid CA driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of administrative experience. Some experience working with students.
  • Knowledge/Ability/Skills: Have strong communication and customer service skills. PC literate with the ability to utilize the MS Office platform, including Word and Excel. Have a positive and outgoing personality. Be detail oriented. Be good at prioritizing and multitasking. Ability to type 50 wpm. Good organizational skills. Good grammatical skills. Good time management skills. Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.

Complexity: The ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.

Physical Demands: Occasional stooping. Frequent standing. Constant walking, sitting, climbing, reaching high/low levels, finger movement, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversationally, and seeing far and near.

Work Environment: This position is onsite unless otherwise authorized by the manager. Occasionally required to work in confined space.

Mental Demands: Frequent work on a variety of unrelated tasks. Constant calculating interrupted work, work on a variety of interrelated tasks, and use of sustained concentration, reasoning, judgment, resourcefulness, analytical ability, and ingenuity.

Special Requirements: Ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
