We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Complex Psychosis Service Embedded Substance Misuse Senior Recovery Worker to join our Ealing Team on Secondment / Fixed Term Contract until 31/07/2026. Commissioned by West London NHS Trust (WLT) for their Ealing Community Rehabilitation Team (ECRT) this role is delivered by Recovery Intervention Services Ealing (RISE) within the Dual Diagnosis Team (DDT) to focus on those Service Users with co-occurring Substance Misuse issues.
The WLT ECRT provides short to medium-term, goal-orientated, evidence-based rehabilitation to service users who present with complex psychosis with health needs which are likely to benefit from multi-disciplinary input and are over the age of 18. Predominantly, the service users engaged by the service would have been unable to be managed in other settings and require specialist input.
The WLT ECRT will provide therapeutic and medical rehabilitation with the post holder providing adjunctive substance misuse and alcohol support services to the team. The RISE DDT offer integrated treatment with WLT and other third sector Mental Health Partners, to deliver substance misuse interventions peripatetically throughout the community to individuals with complex/severe comorbidities using an assertive in-reach and multi-agency collaborative model, as many of the target cohort do not respond to more traditional substance misuse or mental health treatments or pathways of engagement. The primary goal is to address the Substance Misuse treatment needs of individuals facing substantial risks & unmet needs, have a high impact on other services, with traditionally poor anticipated outcomes.
The post holder will hold a WLT ECRT caseload and a RISE DDT caseload of which it is anticipated will be the same Service Users. This role is based one day a week at RISE-Central Hub, 99-103 The Broadway, Uxbridge Road, West Ealing, W13 9BP and four days a week at West London NHS Trust, 1 Armstrong Way, London, UB2 4SD, but can also deliver interventions at the service user's home and other locations within the community. The Post Holders' line management and professional/clinical supervision responsibility will remain with CGL but in partnership with ECRT. The Post Holders' operational management and daily supervision will be through local WL structures. Training will be provided by both organisations.

Full time Salary Range: £32,002.35 - £34,214.21 Dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours
Full Time Allowances: £4133.14 Inner London Weighting, paid pro rata
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31st July 2026
*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
The post holder will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team of Recovery Practitioners, Doctors, Nurses, Psychiatrists, and Psychologists; to deliver high quality provision.
The role will support clients treatment/recovery journey; providing - screening, assessment, pharmacological support, psychosocial support - cognitive & behavioural based interventions, motivational interviewing interventions, recovery planning and onward referral; reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users & the wider community; and promoting carer, service user & community involvement.
