The strategy of CFM's Operations team is to deliver a high-quality service for trade processing as well as investor support. It also has a role in limiting operational risk. Key areas of focus of the team include improving time to market for new developments, reduction of exceptions through workflow design and automation, optimizing cost of trading and financing, providing valuation services, and managing cash and collateral flows.
The OPS Middle Office team is part of the Operations team with a particular focus on trade workflows and position financing. Many of the key processes required to enable trading by our systems are monitored and controlled by the OPS Middle Office team. The team is at a crossroad of data, research, counterparties, trading, legal, compliance, investor relations, etc. Engaged in an increasing number of topics, the OPS Middle Office team needs to strengthen to support numerous new projects, assist Research, and support the general scaling up of the firm.
• Data and position integrity verification before market opening
• Daily management and control of cost of stock loans
• Management of Corporate Actions including analyzing special situations
• Exercises and assignments of options
• Daily monitoring of the tradeable securities universe
• Resolution of position allocation issues
• Speculative position limits monitoring
• Proactive collaboration with Research, Data, IT, Internal Control and Compliance, Counterparties, Investor Relations to constantly improve services, processes, and tools
• Actively suggest workflow and tool improvements
• Engineering degree / Master's (BAC + 5)
• Experience in Asset Management/Hedge Funds or Bank Trading Floor
• Ability to understand complex data, manipulate and analyze significant and varied datasets and produce rigorous and relevant analyses
• An appetite for automation, data analysis and presentation, problem investigation and continuous process improvement
• Ability to work in a team, handle different topics simultaneously, possess an analytical mindset, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Python and Bloomberg is desirable; Tableau, SQL and VBA would be a plus
