Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our new Munich, Germany office. This role will play a key part in shaping our European engineering capability and ensuring Munich is directly engaged in next-generation product development. The ideal candidate combines hands-on electrical design expertise with strong systems understanding and customer engagement skills. You will capture and evaluate customer-driven concepts, translate them into design requirements, assess impacts on existing products, and recommend/implement electrical design modifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead for European programs, capturing requirements and ensuring they are reflected in product designs.
  • Define and manage all electrical interfaces across payload, antenna, and SDR subsystems to ensure compatibility and traceability.
  • Work directly with customers to understand new concepts, assess feasibility, and recommend design changes.
  • Design, modify, and implement electrical systems, including power distribution, harnessing, and interface circuitry.
  • Provide recommendations for product improvements, enhancements, or adaptations for European applications.
  • Collaborate with RF/Antenna, Systems, and Software/FPGA engineers across Munich and international teams.
  • Support proposal development, design reviews, and preparation of technical documentation.

Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

M.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

4+ years of experience in electrical systems design and integration for communications payloads, RF systems, or space/defense platforms.

Strong background in communication theory with practical knowledge of how it drives electrical and interface design.

Hands-on experience with electrical subsystems, including power distribution, harnessing, and interface definition.

Solid understanding of RF concepts, impairments, and their impact on electrical system performance is a plus.

Ability to capture and manage requirements across multidisciplinary teams, and translate them into actionable electrical designs.

Excellent communication skills; comfortable engaging with customers and presenting in technical reviews.

Fluent in English.
