Community Outreach Vehicle Operator

Position Purpose: Provides safe operation, regular upkeep, and maintenance of Community Outreach Vehicles (COV) and other company vehicles to support organizational marketing efforts; represents Fidelis Care New York at various community events and marketing sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • Adhering to safety systems, policies, plans, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment; responsible for the safe operations of the transportation vehicles and equipment including obeying and understanding all laws and traffic ordinances.
  • Maintaining assigned vehicles regularly; performing mechanical troubleshooting, upkeep, and overall cleanliness maintenance to ensure that vehicles are safe for full operation; calling for maintenance and service to prevent work disruption; completing preventive maintenance requirements by calling for service repairs as needed to ensure the ongoing operation of the fleet.
  • Reporting inventory, supplies, and maintenance to ensure accuracy and tracking of supplies necessary to support the needs of the Marketing Department operations; conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory data records to ensure secure storage of assets; creating and submitting detailed reports of accidents, incidents, and supplies.
  • Arranging travel routes and schedules to effectively and efficiently ensure successful itineraries; managing time and having alternative routes plans; staying mindful of weather conditions when driving to a site/event.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Complying with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma required. Minimum two to five years operating a commercial vehicle preferred. Vehicle Care: General knowledge and troubleshooting experience of standard motorized vehicles. Proficiency in one or more languages other than English. Experience with driving commercial vehicles like Taxis, Limos, Trucks, Busses, and transporting passengers. Documented experience in resolving routine vehicle malfunctions, changing a flat tire, tire pressure, oil changes. License/Certification: Valid commercial vehicle operation license.

Pay Range: $15.58 - $26.73 per hour Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
