Staff Reliability & Asset Care Engineer/ Technologist

The Staff Reliability & Asset Care Engineer/ Technologist will support the continuous improvement of preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution. This role involves analyzing maintenance strategies to identify gaps, developing training materials to enhance SAP PM module usage, and collaborating with multi-functional teams to enrich equipment master data. The Staff Reliability & Asset Care Engineer/ Technologist will also lead asset hierarchy development for projects, support equipment creation and criticality assessments, and contribute to the identification of Process Safety Critical equipment.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce equipment failures and improve reliability.
  • Develop maintenance strategies aligned with OEM recommendations, failure modes, and criticality ranking.
  • Analyze and optimize existing maintenance strategies, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
  • Standardize Preventive Maintenance to drive consistency across similar equipment types.
  • Provide training and documentation for SAP data entry, PM build, and BOM processes.
  • Support handover from projects to operations, ensuring asset care processes are completed.
  • Conduct spare parts validation and critical spare identification to optimize inventory levels and minimize downtime risk.

Who You Are:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Bachelor of Science or technical Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer/Technologist P. Eng. or ASET is an asset.
  • Minimum 12 years of engineering experience in an operating facility with similar responsibilities.
  • Broad and detailed knowledge of industry standards and reliability guidelines.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
