The CI Targeting Cell Support shall develop CI leads, based on the Command Operational Guidance or Region-derived requirements, through open-source and classified source research.
Develops targets and target systems for joint lethal and/or non-lethal engagements.
Develops target nominations, creates database records, and databases target intelligence products.
Produces all-source analytic damage estimates and battle damage assessments and assists with combat assessment requirements.
Conducts collateral damage estimation, performs target list management, target strategy development, and provides joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements.
Provides recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives for plans and operations.
Provides database nominations, creates and updates database and uploads TMs into databases.
Provide research, analysis and recommendations regarding liaison efforts with operational and support elements, external intelligence agencies, and external federal law enforcement elements to foster an environment of cooperation and sharing of information to better develop future products. HUMINT leads that are developed out of the CI leads shall be passed to the appropriate HUMINT elements for their consideration.
Minimum education and years of experience requirements:
High School Diploma: 30 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
OR
Associates Degree: 24 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
OR
Bachelors Degree: 22 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
OR
Masters Degree or higher: 20 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Must have a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in one or more areas: China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea.
Must have experience using multiple intelligence disciplines in the planning and execution of analytic support to counterintelligence activities.
Experience supporting joint/interagency operations is preferred. Must be able to work independently and as a team member in a high-operational-tempo environment.
Must have at least twelve years of experience as a CI/HUMINT targeting officer OR a bachelor's degree and completion of a foundational targeting course including:
Joint CI-HUMINT Analytical Targeting Course (JCHATC), OR
Operational HUMINT Targeting Course (OHTC)/HUMINT Targeting Tradecraft Seminar (HTTS), OR
Other Intelligence Community (IC) Targeting Officer certification.
