CDM Smith currently has a strategic opportunity for a Client Service Leader based in Denver, CO to lead and build our environmental services practice in the Central and West US. In this position, you will work with a dynamic team to continue building our environmental practice for local, regional, and state clients. Our environmental practice encompasses many services, including field studies and assessments, NEPA, remediation, permitting, and monitoring, all aided with technological advances and our R&D lab. You will lead the development of a business strategy for the increase of sales and delivering projects with our existing clients, developing new clients, and leading project teams. This will include all aspects of environmental & study services. This position leads the business development activities, oversees overall client service, represents CDM Smith on environmental-related boards or organizations, and serves as a leader in the Denver office and throughout the organization.
CDM Smith has been providing environmental services to our clients for over 75 years. Our environmental services have spanned the areas of remediation, air quality, climate resilience, PFAS, and solid waste projects. As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in environmental consulting business development, assisting with the proposal process and presenting/meeting with regional and local environmental clients strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of RCRA & CERCLA environmental regulations.
• Progressive environmental remediation experience at an engineering consulting firm, with a demonstrated ability to lead and successfully serve clients.
• Excellent communication, networking and team building skills.
• Strong experience meeting and working with multiple state and local environmental agencies.
