The Claim Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to Workers' Compensation Adjusters in our Maitland, FL office. This role focuses on scheduling, document handling, and state form processing to ensure claims are managed accurately and efficiently. You'll work directly with adjusters and medical providers while developing knowledge of the claims process.
Schedule medical appointments and track follow-up status
Retrieve and organize medical notes and other claim-related documents
File state forms accurately and on time
Assist adjusters with claim setup, correspondence, and administrative tasks
Maintain claim diaries and monitor tasks to support workflow
Communicate with providers and other stakeholders via phone and email
Ensure compliance with CCMSI standards and client handling instructions
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred:
Prior clerical or medical office experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
Training: One-on-one training with an adjuster and/or manager for the first week, plus ongoing support.
Performance Measured By: Diary/task management, timeliness, and accuracy of completed work.

The posted salary reflects CCMSI's good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
