Inside Sales Manager
The Sales Manager will be responsible for the effective utilization of all human resources on both the Inbound and the Outbound team. As Sales Manager, you own the end-to-end performance of both Inbound and Outbound sales teams—ensuring every customer touchpoint balances excellent support with strategic selling. You will leverage cross-functional partnerships (Marketing, Product, Member Engagement, Enablement) to maximize platform usage, membership retention, and revenue growth.
Measures Of Success:
- Quota and revenue target attainment across sales channels.
- Conversion rates from inbound, outbound, and verticalized campaigns.
- Sales team satisfaction and retention.
- Marketing-to-sales alignment.
- Commission accuracy and sales forecasting precision.
- CRM integrity and velocity-to-close metrics.
- Strategic campaign alignment and collaboration effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Resource Allocation
- Host daily standups, set clear priorities, and flex team assignments based on real-time needs (support vs. sales vs. retention).
- Ensure balanced staffing across Inbound and Outbound to optimize response times and pipeline coverage.
- Performance & Pipeline Management
- Review sales KPIs (quota attainment, pipeline health, activity metrics) and membership-health metrics (usage, health-score deltas).
- Assign and rotate leads from marketing and retention pools to the appropriate reps.
Coaching & Development
- Partner with the Sales Trainer to identify coaching opportunities, build skill gaps, and track rep ramp times.
- Deliver ongoing feedback, calibrate performance reviews, and lead calibration sessions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Meet weekly with Marketing to align on inbound lead quality and campaign follow-up.
- Work with Sales Trainer, Sales Enablement, Product and Member Engagement to translate new feature releases into sales playbooks and retention tactics.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Drive execution against revenue targets; refine outbound strategies based on win/loss analysis.
- Responsible for getting CBT Nuggets on approved vendor lists for certain industry segments/leading the charge on any certification/framework checkboxes that make it easier to sell, and any partner programs we want to engage with.
- Own territory segmentation, account assignment, and go-to-market prioritization for high-value prospects.
Skills/Competencies:
- 5+ years leading high-volume inside-sales teams, preferably in SaaS or subscription models
- Deep understanding of CRM best practices (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Analytical mindset: comfortable with dashboards, sales forecasting, and data-driven decisions
- Strong people-management skills; ability to motivate and develop talent
- Proficiency with AI-powered sales tools (e.g., conversational intelligence, chatbots)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative, results-oriented attitude
Compensation & Employment Terms:
- Compensation: $90,000 annual salary.
- This position is a full-time (40 hours per week) salaried position, exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
- Generous employee benefits.
- Two shares of the company's profit-sharing plan are paid as a bonus each time the company reaches the "Distribution" milestone.
- Job requirement is to work in our Eugene, Oregon, Headquarters office, and is not a remote position.
