Engineering Compliance Manager

As a CBRE Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and continuous improvement of the corporate/Building services compliance program. This job is part of the Building Services/HVAC Compliance job function. They are responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance that balances business and compliance solutions to inform the company of options and risks within relevant environments.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the global compliance efforts of a department or line of business. Ensure quality while mitigating risk to our clients and company.
  • Recognise and apply corporate and industry standards to the business.
  • Work with departmental management to identify and prioritize roll outs of a risk assessment program.
  • Coordinate and conduct investigations. Explain and defend findings. Draft investigation reports and provide recommendations and corrective action to leadership.
  • Assist with the development, and roll out functional policies, procedures, and processes. Confirm all follow acceptable practices and relevant external regulations.
  • Be guided by Company policies and department plans. Evaluate risk in certain compliance areas across areas of building services and HVAC industry.
  • Counsel business on the assessment process and educate on exposure. Provide gap analysis and remediation of compliance policy and procedures.
  • Maintain and update departmental policies & procedures manual and forms.
  • Identify and recommend training based on business needs and company initiatives. Conduct live training to broad audiences and create communications that integrate media resources and leverage existing procedures.
  • Support program assessment and audit efforts. Develop audit templates, associated folders and manage calendar, progress, and assign resources.
  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You'll Need:

  • Formal Building services qualifications/Trade apprenticeship or qualifications, a combination of qualifications and experience will be considered
  • In depth knowledge of how to assess and examine safe systems of works, RAMS and all related compliance documentation.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH or similar qualifications
