CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Critical Services Shift Technician to join the team in London.
Job Purpose: To maintain the building and all equipment and systems in prime condition utilizing traditional maintenance methods, predictive maintenance techniques and building analytics. All equipment within CBRE's jurisdiction is maintained at optimum working efficiency and to respond effectively to all defects and engineering requests. As the Shift Engineer, you will work in a team of 4 engineers operating in initially a day shift then transitioning over to traditional continental days/nights.
Role Responsibilities: Role Requirements: Skills: Essential- Good technical & faultfinding skills Educated to a minimum of City & Guilds in Electrical (or HNC) Excellent administrative skills Computer literate Highly conversant in Microsoft Office suite Strong interpersonal and communication skills Procedure writing Desirable- Apprenticeship (or equivalent programme in Electrical / Mechanical Installation). Report writing Knowledge: Essential- Excellent knowledge of the operation of Mechanical & Electrical Services Ability to interrogate and operate BMS systems Knowledge of business-critical services i.e., UPS, Generators and Comms Rooms etc Desirable- 18th Edition IEE regs HV Trained Aptitude: Essential- Must be able to work under own initiative. High level of personal integrity Takes ownership of issues and ensures completion. Able to organize and manage own workload. Good communication skills both verbal and written to all seniority levels. Understanding of customer needs and standards. Presentable and smart always Self motivated with drive to exceptional service Incumbents must have a high level of energy, confident and stable in manner. Organized, able to prioritize and deliver within high pressure, business critical environments. Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service. Able to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and focused. Able to make sound decisions based on fact and experience. Working with team members
Circumstances: Essential- Required to work 0800-1700, Mon – Fri. Provide out of hours accessibility as part of escalation procedure.
