Building Services Technician

As a CBRE Building Services Technician, you will work with contractors, vendors, building staff and tenants to ensure that building tasks and tenant requests are complete. This job is a part of the Building Services/ Tenant Services department which focuses on all aspects of the property. This role will be to provide support for the Property Managers and the team.

What You'll Do:

  • Performing daily, weekly, monthly, biannual and annual inspections of the property and its equipment.
  • Conducting base building repairs in base building rooms, common areas, and mechanical areas.
  • Coordinating various projects with contractors and maintaining all parties follow the properties policy and procedures.
  • Ensuring preventative maintenance, inspections, projects, and tenant requests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Working with tenant requests and complaints while maintaining exceptional customer service and professional image.
  • Maintaining work permits, safe work permits and documentation with contractors are up to date and follow the properties policies and procedures.
  • Assist marketing with event set-up and take-downs with the team and tenants.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Working alongside building staff, property team, and tenants in a professional manner.

  • High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Strong handyman skills is a must.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures.
