Technology Operations Center Security Engineer

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for a Technology Operations Center (TOC) Security Engineer is accountable in assisting in the implementation of Information Technology security solutions with a focus on operational measures to support the goal of protecting CBN's varied systems, networks, and data. The primary output of this role will be to address the need for an operational response to and prevention of security incidents. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Industry certifications and 2-4 years' experience preferred relating to infrastructure and network operations support
• Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills
• Consistent willingness to learn and apply new technology
• Strong ability to troubleshoot networks and systems using monitoring/alert tools
• Knowledge and experience with security systems, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, anti-spam, content filtering, and data loss prevention
• Knowledge of vulnerability and patch management practices
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as be an effective member of a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to establish rapport with all levels of staff and management
• Ability to execute both oral and written instructions
• Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• Availability to work shifts and after hours as need/on-call
• Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN's non-profit Christian mission
