Service Desk Analyst

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a Service Desk Analyst to join its team of IT professionals. This essential position will provide telephone technical support, solving information technology issues for clients who are experiencing a wide variety of computer challenges. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Two to three years' experience working with Mac systems and Windows PC with MCP and/or MCDST, A+
  • Experience with desktop operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows 10 and knowledge of OSX 10.8 – 10.11
  • Experience or working knowledge with office applications including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Project, Visio, Apple Numbers, Pages, and Keynote
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, troubleshooting, documenting and resolving issues related to Windows, MAC OS, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience working with Malware, Adware, and Virus diagnostic utilities
  • Experience working with VPN, Remote Desktop, Active Directory and Outlook
  • Understanding of SMB, AFP, NSF network connection protocol
  • Experience in connecting to VMWare VDI Virtual Machines or installing VMware Fusion on a Mac system
  • Understanding of how to use Apple remote Desktop for Apple Management and Dameware Remote control for PC management
  • Knowledge of Apple Bootcamp
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues is required
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Understanding how to deploy Packages using Apple remote desktop is a plus
  • Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN's non-profit Christian mission

Highly desirable:

  • Knowledge of virtual environment (VMWare vSphere and View)
  • ACMT, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician Certification
  • Apple Certified Support Professional 10.11 Cert
  • Industry standard Service Desk certification
  • Knowledge of Jamf Casper Self Service
