Application Support Engineer

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join its IT Application Services team. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our Azure-hosted applications and DevOps processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure services, strong DevOps knowledge, and a passion for troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues in a fast-paced environment. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in a production support or cloud engineering role
• Solid grasp of CI/CD concepts with experience in Azure DevOps pipelines, including YAML configurations and release management
• Proficient with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics for monitoring and diagnostics
• Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and Git for source control and collaboration
• Experience supporting or deploying applications using Azure PaaS components
• Strong analytical, research, systematic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience working within an agile team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as be an effective member of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport with all levels of management, staff and outside public
• Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience desired
• Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN's non-profit Christian mission

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
• Experience with Service Bus, Azure AI Services, or other advanced Azure offerings is a plus
• Familiarity with incident management tools like Jira, PagerDuty, or ServiceNow
