We are seeking a Senior Manager of Digital Audience Research to lead our digital insights and analytics efforts. In this role, you will manage the research function that drives digital data-informed decision making for CBC English Services. You will play a key role in setting performance targets, interpreting complex digital data, and delivering insights that align with CBC's business objectives. This is a leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in digital analytics, market research, and performance optimization, who can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The Senior Manager of Digital Audience Research will oversee a team to deliver accurate digital reporting with actionable insights for target setting and performance measurement tracking to support CBC English Services digital strategies and objectives. The role will play a critical part in shaping CBC’s digital strategy by analyzing data across digital platforms to establish performance benchmarks and targets. They will also oversee reporting on first-party account-collected data for Audience Research, helping to deepen the organization’s understanding of its digital audience. This role requires the active partnership with Executive-level stakeholders to discuss areas of decision-making where data insights may be required, and to propose key metrics to track performance and outcomes. They will provide analysis and interpretation of digital data from both on-platform and off-platform sources to inform strategic planning, and audience growth initiatives. The role requires the evaluation of research needs of stakeholders and recommends appropriate research approaches, data sources, and tools to be used.
The Senior Manager of Digital Audience Research is responsible for overseeing their direct reports, focusing on their professional development and building their expertise in the digital landscape. They will also be responsible for digital training and supporting the wider Audience Research team, with regular and ongoing training sessions on digital analytics methodologies, tools, and emerging best practices for digital analytics.
