Research Analyst, Audience Research (English Services) (Telework/Hybrid)

CBC Marketing and Communications is looking for a Research Analyst to join our multidisciplinary Audience Research team. The Research Analyst will be an integral part of a dynamic team that delivers analysis and insights for CBC's Digital Reporting team. The focus of this role will be primarily to support the performance tracking of CBC's Digital Products and CBC's Digital Strategy.
Key tasks include:
- Analysis of syndicated audience data such as Comscore.
- Analysis of CBC's Digital Products performance using data sources such as Adobe Analytics and Amplitude.
- Analysis of Social Media and Off-Platform Services analytics tools.
- Creating visually compelling data summaries and presentations.
- Producing and maintaining dashboards for reporting.
This role requires enthusiasm for digital analytics and data storytelling.
We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:
- Post-secondary degree in a field with a strong analytical component.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant digital experience.
- Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the media environment and knowledge of the technical aspects of audience measurement is essential.
- Strong quantitative, analytical skills and the ability to read, interpret and manipulate all forms of available industry audience measurement data.
- Demonstrated expertise of digital analytics software, Adobe Analytics and Amplitude.
- Experience using Comscore to measure online competitive performance.
- Experience with off-platform analytics tools like YouTube Analytics, iTunes, Spotify, Roku, etc.
- High proficiency in Google Docs, Google Data Studio (Looker), Excel, PowerPoint, Azure Databricks, as well as PowerBI.
- Experience with developing and monitoring digital dashboards and automated reports to track performance.
- Demonstrated experience using SQL and/or other data query languages.
- Demonstrated competency in creating compelling presentations of data trends and research insights; data visualisation skills are essential.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies and disseminate information to stakeholders, often in non-technical language.
- Ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to work to a variety of deadlines from long to very short term, and to prioritize and balance several ongoing projects at any one time.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated independent judgment, initiative and problem-solving capability.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively work as part of a team.
- Must be able to deal diplomatically with confidential, proprietary and sensitive issues both inside and outside the CBC.
