As our Media Librarian, Team Lead, you will co-ordinate a team of media librarians and documentation technicians for the Collection Acquisition and Management unit. This role involves proposing, reviewing and drafting standards and procedures specific to the duties of media librarians and documentation technicians in line with corporate standards and policies.

Among your responsibilities, you will oversee workflows for acquiring regional audiovisual content as well as provide coaching and support for the media librarians and documentation technicians who manage this content. You will also collaborate with other team leads from the Libraries and Archives department to help improve tools and standardize workflows. You will be in charge of training media librarians and documentation technicians as well as performing quality control on their work and the archived content.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in library and information sciences or equivalent.
  • Three (3) or more years' experience.

Skills:

  • Solid command of French.
  • Good knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of current events.
  • Wide general knowledge.
  • Strong familiarity with document management and information retrieval/processing systems.
  • Proficiency with office applications, specifically the Windows and Google Workspace environments.
  • Very good knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada programming.
  • Proven team co-ordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be versatile.
  • Collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Interview.
