This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your responsibilities as part of the team will include planning, prototyping, implementing, unit testing and supporting enhancements, feature requests, bug fixes and, of course, documentation. Your responsibilities:

  • Modify or create reusable web components for Radio-Canada's digital platforms.
  • Modify or create presentation API along with back-end specialists and architects.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and control product quality throughout the project.
  • Keep up with the latest trends in the various digital development fields.
  • Be proactive and suggest solutions to challenges that arise.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities in order to review progress on projects in production and make the necessary corrections/adjustments, or to gauge the results of completed projects.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • University or college degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Javascript.
  • Experience with React/Redux/Saga/RTK.
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with NodeJS.
  • Experience with GraphQL (Apollo).
  • Experience in front-end performance optimization.
  • Experience with Styled-Components and/or Tailwind.
  • Experience with server side scripts (api/graphql - client/server).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (web/mobile) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented development and design patterns is an asset.
  • Keen interest in major web trends and issues.
  • Ability to be thorough, work independently, and be resourceful.
  • Analytical and conceptual mind.
  • Ability to work well in a team, excellent communicator.
  • Proficiency in French, functional knowledge of written and spoken English is an asset.
