As Editor / Production Designer, you will design and establish the continuity, pace, and artistic/technical elements that make up the editing and visual effects of television products, lending unique, original added value to them in order to fulfill the desired objectives and artistic intentions. To this end, you will plan all phases of visual-effect editing, development, and creation, assessing the work and time required so that you can propose a schedule in line with production needs.

You will also prepare, transport, set up, operate, dismantle, put away, and maintain technical equipment/material, ensuring it is in good, clean, and safe working.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in Television Production and Postproduction. Techniques or any relevant diploma.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience creating montages.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the AVID editing system required.
  • Knowledge of post-production methods.
  • Familiarity with Photoshop and After effects, an asset.
  • Good knowledge of French (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Judgment and creative mind.
  • Keen interest in working in a news environment.
  • Available to work on various shifts (night, early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends).
