This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
Your Role
The Director, Motion/Animation, is a key role responsible for planning, concepting, developing, and articulating the creative vision for the CBC Brand and MarComms Strategic Objectives, including the creation of animated art and motion graphics. This role oversees design quality, maintains accessibility standards and ensures the CBC promotional and brand work is innovative using sophisticated techniques and professional experience.
This role supports the direction of the Senior Creative Director, and the CBC Brand and MarComms Strategy, working with defined stakeholders to support objectives and goals. This role is responsible for the brand direction, concept design, fulfillment, production quality, delivery and integration of each project in alignment with the creative and marketing objectives.
Work is performed according to accepted CBC/Radio-Canada and industry standards, and there is wide latitude for independent action, judgment and initiative. Duties are performed in collaboration with internal and external partners. There are requirements to be self-administered with the expectation of producing desired results within guidelines.
