The work schedule is: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Completes scheduling all required staff training (including new hire orientation, annual recertifications, CPR/First Aid, etc.) and ensures completion within mandated timeframes to maintain compliance with Agency, state, and federal requirements.
- Coordinates training logistics, including room setup, materials preparation, technology setup, and tracking attendance, ensuring a professional learning environment and accurate training records that support staff compliance and successful training outcomes.
- Maintains and updates training calendars and ensures timely communication to staff and supervisors, taking responsibility for accuracy and accessibility so that all parties are informed, scheduling conflicts are minimized, and staff remain compliant with required training.
- Tracks training compliance and certifications in the Learning Management System (LMS), iCareManager, ensuring accurate records, timely renewals, and compliance with Agency, state, and federal training requirements.
- Takes responsibility for assisting in preparing reports related to training status, compliance, and participation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to support leadership decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Supports communication with external training providers or certifying agencies as needed, ensuring timely coordination and accurate documentation to maintain staff certifications and training compliance.
- Assists with onboarding and documentation of new hires as it pertains to training requirements, ensuring all employees meet mandated training deadlines for full program readiness.
- Conducts or co-facilitates in-person and virtual training sessions for direct support professionals and other staff, ensuring training delivery is effective, consistent, and aligned with Agency and regulatory standards.
- Provides support during larger training sessions (e.g., attendance, materials, tech support), ensuring sessions run smoothly, are well-documented, and meet compliance requirements.
- Ensures training content is delivered in a way that is accessible, engaging, and aligned with adult learning principles, resulting in improved knowledge retention and practical application by staff.
- Collects and analyzes feedback from training participants to improve future sessions, ensuring continuous quality improvement and enhanced training effectiveness.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associate's degree in human services, Education, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- One (1) year of experience in an administrative or training-related role; experience in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field a plus.
Certification/Licensure:
- CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification within six (6) months of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Mandt Certification within first year of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Adult Learning / Train-the-Trainer course within first six (6) months of hire date.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- No remote or hybrid work availability based on core and essential functions of the position.
- Flexibility may be required to work beyond standard hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 25 lbs. in all directions, which may include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning items as necessary to perform job duties.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or transitioning between different work sites, which may involve walking, standing, or traveling to various locations as required by the role.
- Engaging in communication with others to exchange information, which may involve speaking, listening, writing, or using electronic communication methods to ensure clear and effective understanding. This includes both verbal and non-verbal interactions with colleagues, clients, or external parties.
- Remaining in a stationary position, which may involve standing or sitting for extended periods, as required to complete tasks or duties associated with the role.
- Repetitive motions involving wrist, hands, and/or fingers including tasks such as typing, data entry, or handling small objects. These repetitive activities may occur throughout the workday and require attention to ergonomics to ensure comfort and minimize strain.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and completeness of assigned work to ensure it meets quality standards and adheres to established guidelines.
- Hearing and vision abilities, with or without correction, sufficient to drive safely and effectively observe and communicate with others.
- Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence. There can be no state issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede drivers' ability to operate the vehicle as required by the Agency, and there must not be more than three (3) points on their driving record.
