The Senior Field Sales Support Engineer for Resource Industries Aftermarket serves as the primary aftermarket sales expert for Electric Rope Shovels and Draglines across all of Canada. This role is instrumental in driving growth by developing and executing strategic go-to-market plans in collaboration with dealers, customers, product groups, and internal business partners.
What You Will Do:
Strategic Alignment & Execution: Align aftermarket service strategies with sales execution plans to drive growth throughout the Canadian market.
Consultation & Collaboration: Engage with dealers, customers, and internal stakeholders to gather Voice of Dealer (VOD) and Voice of Customer (VOC) insights for new product introductions and distribution strategies.
Customer-Centric Solutions: Design and implement tailored solutions that support service growth and meet evolving customer needs across diverse regions in Canada.
Sales Enablement: Guide and train dealer sales teams to enhance capabilities and prepare for future industry demands.
Market Intelligence & Analysis:
Program Development: Support the creation of marketing programs and Customer Value Agreements that drive measurable results.
Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, demonstrating strong influence and conflict resolution skills.
What Skills You Will Have:
Value Selling: Highly knowledgeable of the value and benefits of Caterpillar Electric Rope Shovel and Dragline products, with the ability to align customers' needs or requirements with Caterpillar's solutions. This role benefits from direct sales experience and a background working with or for Caterpillar Dealers, mines, or mining contractors —bringing you to the top of our list.
Customer Focus: Brings a strong background in mining applications, a deep understanding of life cycle costs, and awareness of the mining industry and marketplace needs—essential for building trust and long-term customer relationships.
Project Management: Demonstrates creativity, innovation, and strong business acumen. Shows sensitivity to dealer and customer financial impacts, ensuring that technical solutions are both effective and commercially viable.
Effective Communications: Capable of clearly transmitting, receiving, and interpreting ideas, information, and customer needs—ensuring alignment between Caterpillar's offerings and dealer/customer expectations.
Problem Solving: Applies proven approaches, tools, and techniques to recognize, anticipate, and resolve organizational, operational, or process challenges. Uses problem-solving skills effectively across diverse technical and customer-facing situations.

Summary Pay Range: $119,880 - $149,760
