Our commercial department, mainly based in Paris, includes:

- 1 Sales Manager

- 1 Head of Commercial Operations

- 7 Regional Account Managers (6 in France and 1 in Belgium)

- 4 Commercial Managers (3 for France, 1 for Belgium)

We manage a portfolio of 6,300 contracts, representing $630 million, and in the context of a replacement, we are currently recruiting a Regional Account Manager / Territory Manager for Belgium.

Your main mission:

Through your action, you contribute to developing the activities of Cat Financial Services Belgium in its market. You identify promotional actions to be implemented in collaboration with Caterpillar dealers and industries.

Your main tasks:

- Promotion of the sale of Caterpillar equipment and repair work through tailored financing solutions, in close collaboration with the dealer's sales and after-sales team and partners.

- Proposal, negotiation, preparation, and processing of leasing, rental, and credit files.

- Maintenance and development of the existing customer portfolio.

- Regular reporting to the Commercial Directorate.

- Formulating proactive proposals within your geographical area and within the organization.

This we expect from you:

  • Customer Orientation: Knowledge of values and practices that place the needs and satisfaction of the customer as primary considerations in all commercial decisions, and the ability to exploit this information to create customized solutions.

  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry sector, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and influential players; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in various situations.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of decision-making processes and associated tools and techniques; ability to analyze situations accurately and make productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Effective Communication: Understanding of concepts, tools, and techniques for effective communication; ability to convey, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Negotiation: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate effectively within the organization and with external suppliers and customers in a constructive and collaborative manner.

  • Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, suppliers, and peers.

  • Account Management: Ability to manage daily activities, provide services, and support to existing clients.

  • Value-Based Selling: Knowledge of principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services; ability to provide total value and differentiate support offerings that meet clearly identified customer needs.

This we seek in you:

  • Bilingual Flemish / Dutch - French

  • Some experience, even short, in banking or in a captive is also required

  • Graduates of higher education, candidates will have 5 years of professional experience including successful commercial experience in the sale of financial products to companies

  • Knowledge of financing/leasing products and policies, financial calculations

  • Willingness to improve the functioning of the existing

  • Social skills, taste for commercial relationship; the position requires multiple contacts with our Partners, our Clients and also internally, within the Commercial Department but also with the other Departments and the Industries of the Caterpillar group

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, switch from one file to another, manage stress and periods of high activity

  • Ability to animate a network of promoters

  • Taste for numbers and financial calculations, logical mind

  • Ability to conduct financial analysis to quickly determine the quality of a client

  • Good sense of risk

  • Ease and taste for the tools we use (SalesForce, Capital Stream, CPBI, Excel, Quick Quote, financial calculator…)

  • Team spirit

  • Professional English knowledge would be an asset

  • Knowledge of the public works sector is a real plus
