Caterpillar products generate and process large amounts of data from sensors, on-board models, and control algorithms in real-time creating real-world machine usage information. The MineStar product range links with other mining and business information systems and is an integral part of the Mining Technology Enabled Solutions vision.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary delivery teams that develop world class mining software solutions. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for testing software within a high performing, self-managing and dynamic team, delivering high-value software for our enterprise customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for completeness of testing the user stories as per the acceptance criteria
  • Responsible for high level estimation of features and user stories
  • Responsible for test plan and accountable for test cases created by the team
  • Ensure test process and standards are followed within the team
  • Maintain code quality by implementing quality checks
  • Assist in test environment setup and creation/maintenance of test data for automation
  • Oversees implementation and execution of regression and acceptance tests
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the daily run automation cases
  • Close interaction with Team Leads, Product Managers and Development & QA team members and communicate effectively with all stakeholders

Experience required:

  • 7+ years' experience in Quality Assurance and Automation Testing

Skills Required:

  • Hands-on experience in automation test frameworks, e.g.: Cucumber framework, SpecFlow, etc
  • Exposure to coding languages such as Java and Python
  • Exposure to Microservices & AWS/Azure cloud testing
  • Experience in writing SQL queries for database and API testing
  • Integrate into and develop CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous integration and deployment of automation harness
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Experience in providing test estimation and executing code reviews
  • Strong software test engineering methodology and process expertise
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the overall automation capabilities
