We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Large Power Systems Division team to support the production of large Caterpillar engines at our location in Kiel.

Manufacturing Engineer (M/W/D)

That's Your Responsibility Area with Us:

  • Provision of technical expertise to design all aspects of production assembly – including cost, quality, compliance with safety guidelines, and environmental requirements
  • Identification and implementation of improvements and adaptations to complex manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Monitoring the reliability of sophisticated equipment and processes and identifying and resolving problem areas
  • Coaching and developing technical staff in production and supporting areas
  • Leading technical support in planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities
  • Driving continuous improvements to increase efficiency, safety, and effectiveness of manufacturing operations

That Should You Bring (Required Qualifications and Experience):

  • Professional experience with manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, and logistical equipment in manufacturing, and the ability to safely operate, maintain, update, and store them
  • Knowledge of existing methods, technologies, and processes in product manufacturing, and the ability to plan, implement, control, and monitor the entire manufacturing process
  • Understanding of safety requirements in production, and the ability to identify occupational hazards and implement measures to comply with legal regulations for the safety of employees, the environment, and the site
  • Proficient handling of organizational standards, procedures, and guidelines in manufacturing, and the ability to plan, control, and monitor compliance with processes
  • Knowledge of the philosophy, principles, and implementation approaches of Lean Manufacturing, and the ability to successfully integrate them into existing production and management processes
  • Ability to analyze situations accurately and make informed decisions based on appropriate methods and tools

Very good German and good English language skills

Completed engineering degree or equivalent qualification desirable
