About the role: The Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has two openings for Engineering Project Team Leader positions located in the Mossville, Illinois or Corinth, Mississippi facilities. These positions focus on New Product Introduction (NPI) project leadership for remanufactured engines and core components.

What you will do:

  • Lead engine and engine component NPI programs to introduce new Cat Reman service offerings to the market.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product and manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and business resource teams to identify, prioritize, and execute project deliverables.
  • Address challenges and solve problems to maintain project velocity and ensure customer satisfaction.

Degree requirement: Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering or Materials Science curriculum.

Skills you must have:

  • Extensive knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Extensive knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
  • Expert knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product management environment.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Demonstrated leadership of complex projects utilizing business acumen
  • Working knowledge of engines or engine components
  • Experience with Remanufacturing and/or NPI program management
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated collaboration and problem solving capability within a cross functional team

Travel expectation is up to 15%
