About The Role: The Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division currently has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Project Team Leader located in Lafayette, Indiana. In this role as Project Team Leader, you will serve as an experienced, individual contributor on projects and be responsible for providing sound technical solutions to dealers and customers worldwide. Manages multiple or complex engineering projects involving multiple functions, organizations, products, or value chains.

Additional Information:

  • Travel: Up to 10-15% travel required
  • This position is open to relocation

  • This is based out of Lafayette, Indiana
  • This position requires working onsite five days a week

What will you do:

  • Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Coordinating resources across the businesses with sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain and manufacturing.
  • Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating in functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
  • Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.

What You Have – Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences:

Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Influencing Through Expertise: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization.

Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

Summary Pay Range: $126,000.00 - $189,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
