As a HEX Vehicle Engineer, you may lead 2-3 team members and partner with and provide technical guidance to technical teams, directly contribute to the concept, development, and design of systems and configuration Hydraulic Excavator products and processes including aftermarket.

Key areas of responsibility encountered in this role may include any or all the following: design and promote new products; contribute to establishing the product line strategy for the product group; define the program, machine configuration, and modularity strategy; develop and manage the project/program to the plan; evaluate new products and competitive products.

Be accountable and participate in the design and development of complex engineering projects related to machine development ensure products provide superior customer value in comparison to the competition in terms of cost, features, performance, durability, and quality, manufacturing, velocity, and serviceability.

Evaluate new products and competitive products and perform product design.

Communicate technology of product application as well as the competitive products with customers, team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders to meet their needs.

Develop and perform on a complex project or program and direct the work with stakeholders. For example, Rebuild & Repair – carry out after market design project in China design team; Parts Cost – Work with procurement team to manage parts cost.

Develop low-cost solutions for complex technical engineering problems and be accountable for machine level cost reduction.

Contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, mentor and coach team members, and broaden professional network.

Ensure that new developing systems, components and machine models meet latest regulations/compliance requirements.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Team Management: Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.

Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.

Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment.

5 days onsite is required
