Senior Service Engineering Professional

Carrier is looking to hire a Senior Service Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in our light applied equipment. Maintain effective communication and frequent contact with key customers and field team members, perform highly complex diagnostic procedures and prepare reports for the senior leadership team. Communicate technical information to key stakeholders and keep key customers and field team members up-to-date on outstanding issues.

Key responsibilities include assisting field personal with complex problems on light applied equipment, diagnosing faults and identifying solutions for the field teams, providing technical support to the field on all light applied equipment, answering gateway cases to support CCS on light applied equipment, providing job site support on cases that require advanced troubleshooting, responding to gateway calls in a quick and professional manner, assisting the field to deliver quick efficient service to the end users, identifying product issues and working to identify solutions, maintaining effective communications with key customers and field team members to ensure product enhancements/improvements are complete and accurate, maintaining frequent contact with key customers which requires a high degree of tact and courtesy, acting as the expert in product knowledge/subject matter, performing highly complex diagnostic procedures, preparing reports for senior leadership displaying interpreted test information to resolve design/system related problems and to ensure continuous improvement, communicating technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders including senior leadership, and ensuring that key customers and field teams are kept informed on outstanding issues and recommending system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.

Basic qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, and a clean and valid driver's license.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or building HVAC, field experience and an understanding of the installation and operation of HVAC equipment, ability to lead and motivate teams, strong problem solving, planning and management skills, ability to read and understand scope of work, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, experience in dealing with a number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines, and a true team player who has the customer's best interests first and foremost.
