Carnegie Mellon University's department of Mechanical Engineering is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support by running neurophysiology experiments, analyzing data, developing and testing computational models, writing papers and such other tasks that are assigned to you.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate instruments for measuring electromyography and inertial measurement data
  • Write and use custom software in Matlab to analyze EMG and IMU data
  • Write summary reports of experiments and analysis in form of primary journal articles

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Requirements:

  • Successful background check
