The Counseling Coordinator is responsible for providing additional support and leadership for the masters level clinicians in the Behavioral Health department in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. The Clinical Coordinator supports the clinical needs of the Counselors and Mental Health Counselors by sharing practice expertise, giving valuable feedback to their clinical colleagues and leadership, supporting onboarding processes, cascading information to colleagues as well as serving as a mentor for new masters level clinicians. The Counseling Coordinator also provides outpatient counseling services while in the role of a Counselor.
Qualifications
Education Level:
Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Work Experience:
Providing psychotherapy in a clinical setting for 5+ years
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and can work effectively with diverse personalities. Must be approachable, show respect for others and be able to present information with effective communication and presentation skills.
• Effective communicator and problem-solver.
• Ability to lead and reinforce standard workflows and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Provides counseling services to patients in the Behavioral Health department
Serves as a liaison between masters level clinicians and leadership
Participates in the recruitment process for new masters level clinicians
Assists Clinical Manager in ensuring clinicians meet quality expectations
Provides regularly scheduled supervision to assigned team members
Assists in training and onboarding new masters level providers
Identifies clinical development needs of clinicians to Clinical Manager
Identifies factors impacting patient outcomes and collaborates with Clinical Manager to support improvements

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position is $34.54 per hour - $59.41 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
