Main Functions

To assist Director/Supervisor of C.S.P.D. in daily operational activities of the Department, and at times manage the Department in the absence of the Director/Supervisor.

Assist in the delivery of the Surgical Case Cart System.

Assure the sterility of processed goods.

Maintains par level inventory of sterile patient care items and keeps adequate documentation.

Assist in orientation of new employees and Continuing Education programs.

Exhibit appropriate characteristics concerning attendance, punctuality, appearance and proper conduct.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills: Must have thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and procedures, sterilization techniques and procedures, inflection control and work flow principles and requirements, equipment and supply processing; demonstrates and exercise responsible judgement to provide necessary supplies and equipment for patient care including the surgical case cart system

Basic computer skills

Education: High School Graduate

Work Experience: Required

Licensure/Qualifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (C.R.C.S.T.) from an approved Regulatory Agency.
