Service Technician

Pay $25 per hour. Start and end time are flexible 7:00-8:00am - 3:30-4:00pm.

Job Summary: The Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial vacuum trucks and related equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team under the direction of the Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on industrial vacuum trucks and related equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Documentation: Accurately record all service and repair activities in accordance with company standards and Michigan repair facility requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. (Safety glasses and steel-toe boots required.)
• Licensing: Obtain and maintain a valid Michigan Mechanic’s License.
• Tools & Supplies: Provide and maintain your own tools necessary to perform truck service and repairs.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with the service team to ensure efficient, effective, and timely service delivery.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic, service technician, or related role working with heavy-duty trucks or equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
