Job Summary
The successful candidate will assist with sample dilution and analysis for content concentration. The work will take place in the Tissot lab. This is an occasional position.
Essential Job Duties
- Cleaning of labware in preparation for experimental work.
- Sample reception and inspection.
- Sample dilution for analysis.
- Concentration analysis of biological samples by mass spectrometry; starting and monitoring the instrument while concentrations are measured.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Completed undergraduate coursework in STEM.
- A minimum of 2 months of work experience in a class 1000 clean laboratory.
- Familiarity with Q-ICPMS instruments for concentration analysis.
- Basic knowledge of stable isotope geochemistry.
- Skilled in the preparation of reagents at various concentrations, pipetting, and handling of corrosive and hazardous materials.
